  • Is VrayProxy system full working?

    I'm trying to create an outdoor environment using a mountain mesh where spawning trees to create a forest.
    As base mesh I'm using a tree frm Chaos Cosmos and, as spawning system, the wide used GeoScatter add-on.
    I know that Geometry Nodes system is not fully supported at the moment ( I hope that it will be at the release as it's really a powerful system that, I think, improved the Blender use in large production or large project) so, as GeoScatter use it to spawn the objects, I use its feature to create real instances.
    As Cosmos objects are loaded as proxies with a simplified preview mesh, the GeoScatter addon creates correctly the preview meshes but now I can't understand how to assign the source of the vray mesh to use for the proxies as the imported Cosmos object has.
    This is what I had at the moment.
    The brown trees are the preview mesh instances where I'd like to "attach" the final mesh.
    The tree you see is the imported one from the Cosmos library.

    Where I should find the vrmesh to use for the other instances?

    After this, I've tried to create a VrayProxy from an object for testing...but I can't find, in the UI, the tool to create it. Is it unavailable or I'm blind and I can't see it?
