  • Not able to override or edit default Smoke shader with vdb volume objects.

From the research I've done vdb volumes have their own seperate settings regarding the material, I can't seem to find the window and therefore override or edit vdb volume shaders in any way.

Edit: Sorry for my mistake, I see that I need a Vray VolumeGrid, which I assume hasn't been implemented yet.

Hello squiff_, Thank you for reporting this. You are correct that a V-Ray VolumeGrid is required to control different aspects of the VDB volume object. I have taken note of your report, and it will be discussed with our Development team as a potential improvement for future releases.

I assume this is also part of the missing VolumeGrid feature: A vdb sequence does not seem to update in rendered view. I have a vdb sequence but no matter what frame im on, the vray frame buffer only shows frame 1 of the vdb sequence, whereas in the blender viewport it is displaying the current active frame.
