  • Vray Environment node: CPU vs GPU

I'm with nightly "vray_adv_70010_blender420_x64_224_install" and I've found a little strange behaviour that differs from CPU to GPU.

    GPU

If you switch from CPU to GPU, the color swatches disappear.
I'm not sure which one is correct but it sounds strange this happens.

Hello bardo, The behavior is expected. Due to partial support for the Environment node on GPU, it was decided to hide the unused parameters when rendering with GPU.

It looks like there's difference in brightness between CPU and GPU, take a look. CPU is darker despite same world setup.

Hello aleksander_pusz, I'm unable to reproduce the behavior on my end. Could you provide a screenshot of the World setup you are using or share the scene itself?

aleksander_pusz, Thank you for providing the scene. Oddly enough, I was still unable to reproduce the issue.

What version of V-Ray for Blender are you using? I'm testing with the latest official beta build vray_adv_70010_blender420_x64_259. If you are using an older version, could you try downloading the latest one from here: Chaos Nightlies and check if there is any difference?

Let me know how it goes!

I've just updated to 259 and also updated nvidia drivers, but same thing, still CPU version is darker... Dome light results are identical for CPU and GPU and same as GPU with world lighting but CPU version differs. Also when using world lighting sampling is extremely slow, both for CPU and GPU. Dome light is on the scene I've sent so you can test.
