  • Missmatch Colors Viewport Render and VFB

    Hi,

excited to try out the new beta for Blender. I noticed there is some mitchmatch between the viewport rendering and the VFB. Is there some way to have both look identical?
The viewport seems to take over adjustements that I do in the VFB, such as filmic tonemap and so on, so they seem kind of linked. But the colors don't seem to match.
The viewport render doesn't use any post effects from blender compositor btw.
I'm also new to blender so maybe I set up something wrong

    Thx!

I found without Denoiser, Blender viewport follows VFB color settings and when using Denoiser, when it kicks, Blender viewport ignores VFB color settings.

Good catch! It turns out that the color corrections from VFB are not applied to the denoised result. I'm logging this issue, and we will address it as soon as possible.

But that doesn't really apply to the original problem of this post. I have a missmatch in color no matter if Denoising is on or off. Also there are no color corrections applied in the VFB, it's just the linear image.

Have you changed any of those settings? You have to switch to cycles or evee and go to the 'Render' properties panel. After some tinkering, we found that they are affecting the viewport image.

Awesome, that was it! Would be good to maybe reset those when using V-Ray otherwise it might be confusing if your viewport alters from the VFB.

Yup, I've logged an issue for that.
