  • Default global shadow bias problem.

It seems the (shadow bias) mapping is incorrect, regardless of whether the unit configuration is set to kilometers, meters, or centimeters.
Having to manually adjust the bias for every light added to the scene is quite frustrating.

I believe this is a necessary improvement that requires urgent attention.
    Thank you.

Hello prv_works Could you, please, share with us the blend file so we can investigate it ourselves?

Meanwhile, this seems more like a Displacement than Lighting issue. Do you have any textures applied to the geometry?

No, it doesn't have any textures applied, it's just a basic mesh. The issue is that the default shadow bias of 0.02 doesn't work as expected in Blender. To fix it, you need to set each light to 0.002, and if you have 100 lights, you’d have to do it 100 times.
You can check out the sample files you uploaded to the ChaosGroup website.
There, you’ll see that the shadows aren’t calculated correctly because of this issue I just mentioned.
Anyway, I’ll send you the file.
You’ll notice that if you set the value to 0.002, which is a bit of an unusual value, the problem goes away—whether in my file, the sample files you provided, or any V-Ray project made with Blender.
