Caustics basic setup

Hi,
I'm struggling to get caustics to work.. I've tried enabling the caustics options in the render settings and playing with the material and light properties, but without success. Is there any known issues about this? Could anyone provide a walkthrough of the process for setting up a very basic scene with caustics?

I managed to get it to work. For some reason, even though I had V-Ray Mtl in the V-Ray Node Editor, the Material dropdown in the Material Properties panel of the object was missing, so I couldn't turn off "Affect Shadows". I solved this by deleting and creating the V-Ray Mtl node again.
