  • Sidegrade to Vray for Unreal?

Hi! Wondering if it would be possible to sidegrade to Vray for Unreal from Vray for Blender?

We don't have pricing for V-Ray for Unreal yet, but in general I don't see any obstacles.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Out of curiosity, why would you want to move completely to V-Ray for Unreal?

        Best regards,
        Vlado

vlado, for me it would cut down on having to export into Blender to render stuff. I'm only opening blender to use the V-Ray plugin.

to answer the same question, Vlado. I believe unreal has insane tools for creating environments, and managing assets that blender lacks entirely, also I'm interested in it for the speed in which materials are previewed in unreal, and the last demo I saw of vray for unreal made it look like it would somehow make use of the unreal nodes and getting a similar result but with vray (correct me if im wrong) if that is the case, creating new shaders in unreal for vray would speed up that process by huge amounts. similar to how Eevee and Cycles work together.
