  • Image texture node missing on latest vrayblenderbuilds (linux and windows)

    Hi,

I noticed that "image texture"node can´t be added to node editor
This is crucial to have hemi lamps mapped correctly.

The alternative "image file" can't be mapped correctly.

The strange thing is that we can apend the old node from old files and they work great… (see the screeenshot of the old node)

    Regards

      Thanks JuhaW,

But that results in a light much more intense. It doesn't produce the same accurate results.

You sure you have the same sRGB/Linear settings on both nodes ?

It makes sense to me to remove the "image texture" node. It's redundant. Like JuhaW says, check your gamma settings.

On the screen that you attached we can see that you have selected sRGB color space instead of linear as JuhaW wrote. Correct?

JuhaW Bingo! Thank you very much!

andybot_cg Totally agree. Now, image texture makes no sense. Andrey did well removing it, and it was nice to have backward compatibility. Andrey is the best.

kontrolermpl Very nice and decisive tip! Thank you very much!

Problem solved! I guess I have to come to the forum more often. You were great and I should have looked the docs with much more attention ...
