  • BRDFVrayMtl after Remap node renders black

    Propably one year old materials are working, but now latest build(s), adding Remap and BRDFVrayMtl, result is black rendered material.
    Edit: Gpu render, V-Ray Next 4.20.01

    It actually works fine here with the latest nightly build version of V-Ray for Blender and V-Ray Next 4.20.01.

    Would you please let me know the exact version of V-Ray for Blender you are using, and also what is the exact Standalone version.
    You mentioned it's 4.20.01 - but did you get it from V-Ray for 3dsMax, is it a regular V-Ray Standalone version etc.

        Very strange. Run another test with the exact same builds and still works fine here:

        Have you got another GPU device to check if there is any difference?
        Can you try to update the GPU drivers as well?
        Can you also try the normal installation of V-Ray Standalone, instead of the .ZIP version?

          I have only one gpu and updated to latest gpu driver NVIDIA GeForce 440.97 WHQL, installed V-Ray Next Standalone via installer and still same problem, objects are black.
          Looking at your latest image, I hope you connected VrayMtl Current to Single node, not VrayMtl Old.

            Actually I haven't changed anything in the scene, I was thinking its already set up to replicate the issue and just rendered it. Would you please provide more details what should be done in order to replicate the issue?

              It was my fault, you need to connect "VrayMtl Current" to Single node. I just showed example with older VrayMtl (node has no fex. Metalness) and it works.
