  • test lights

    hello:

    I'm doing a study of the lights and I have two questions:

    1. I do not know for serving the button 'Store'

    2. I made ??a series of tests on point light and sphere light in versions 2.4 and 2.5, activating and deactivating 'shadows'.

    Is this results correct?

    Store with irradiance map - when this option is on and GI calculation is set to Irradiance map V-Ray will calculate the effects of the VRayLight and store them in the irradiance map. The result is that the irradiance map is computed more slowly but the rendering takes less time. You can also save the irradiance map and reuse it later.
    Is this results correct?
    Shadow on / off works fine for me.

      Do not know what can happen. I'm on linux, I will try to window to see.

      The file code lights going well:
      shadows of
      enabled= interpolate((1,1));
      shadows= interpolate((1,0));

      shadows on
      enabled= interpolate((1,1));
      shadows= interpolate((1,1));

      On area light works well but not on point and sphere.

          Then its V-Ray bug, and since I'm on Linux, I guess you are using not latest V-Ray version.
