  • Starting out with V-Ray - rendered image is pitch black

I'm trying to learn V-Ray with Blender but I can't seem to figure out how to start. I have my basic scene (3 cubes in a pit of a ground plane) , one direct light and no matter what settings I use my image just ends up completely black. I even tried using these universal settings but still nothing except for black pixels shows up when rendering :/. http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150SP1/ ... ttings.htm

Any idea what I could be doing wrong? It looks like it is finished with rendering within 0.00s so I'm guessing V-Ray really isn't doing anything.

it is always nice when U post whats your os, vb build version etc...

    - Do U see VFB durring rendering? if not - check if U have correct path to vray in exporter tab.
    - if yes - have you hit mesh export button before staring render?

      I'm sorry. I'm using Windows 7 and I downloaded the latest win32 build from https://github.com/bdancer/vb25/downloads .
Yes I'm rendering with the VFB and I am pressing the export button before. The path seems to correct considering the VFB is opening.

Post the information from your console, and a compressed blender file.

The tip with the console really did help. I looked at the console and it showed me that the VRay demo simply didn't support the resolution that I picked . I'm sorry for bothering and thanks for your help !
