  • What am I doing wrong with the camera?

I have a problem that occurs all the time. The rendering output doesn't look like my preview in the viewport.
Here are two images that illustrate my problem.

This is how my scene is set up. No objects hidden, just a backdrop, 3 lights and an object. GI is enabled and being rendered with Irradiance Map/Light Cache - although that doesn't really matter if I render with different GI engines or no GI engine at all.

And this how the rendering looks like with the Vray for Maya 2011 demo.

I am using a physical camera with a FOV of 35mm. Here is the .blend file if you want to see for yourself.

My Blender build is a few weeks old.

    1. Turn on "Invisible" in the front lamp.
    2. Don't intersect lamps and objects - this could produce noise and blotches.

Already tried that. With invisible turned on I get this result (it's also a little bit brighter because I changed the shutter speed).

        You should re-export meshes.
