  • Exporting for animation takes ages!

    Hi there,

i would like to know if it is normal, that it is taking ages to "export meshes" for animation , for 250 frames took about an hour or almost 2h! its an quite simple scene
    [attachment=0:yxfcamhh]Untitled-1.jpg[/attachment:yxfcamhh]
when the export of the mesh is done, I press the render "animation" button, than it runs the animation in the viewport, and than again its is taking ages, or nothing happens from times to times

is it a problem of my settings or is it like this?

i'm using the "official" build win 32 of bdancer of his page. i'm using win 7 with a 8 core and an quadrofx 5500

i hope that i'm doing something wrong, because i really would like to use blender with vray and not maya ! exporting the animation as FBX importing in maya, than set up the materials and so on just sucks

    all the best,
    piripi

    ok i found something interesting

is it possible to set up with blender sofar?

    http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150SP1/ ... s_anim.htm

but anyway, it also mentions if it is a simple scene, i could render it straight...

        hi there,

is it possible that the IR (rendering" for animation does not work? i generated a prepass, and than turn over to "animation (rendering)" and chosed the first file, but than it does not render?

what am i doiong wrong? the vray renderscreen just stays black...

Look in the console for errors. This will help to fix the problem.
May be you will have to delete frame number from chosen file name.

          Not yet.

          Depends on the scene.
Most of my "heavy" scenes takes about 15-30 sec per frame to export.

You could send me your scene by email for investigation.

            hi there,

has anybody experience with the irradiance maps "animation-prepass" and "animation-rendering" for animation? in maya i could make it work.

blender just makes the prepass, but when i select " animation rendering" and choose the first file of the prepass ir file, it will just render the first frame and the rendering is totally black...

is it a global problem or just my setup?

i also tried a simple scene with a plane an 1 cube, basic matte materials, no success

            all the best
            philipp

here a single frame, hope i can make the animation soon

Try removing frame number from the file name after selecting file.
