  • How to map light emission in VRayMtl

Hello Andrey, is it possible now to link a hdr texture into stack of VRayMtl so that in one material I will have: normal map (for bumps), opacity map, and a texture causing that material to emit light at certain areas?
In a hurry now, can't find any solution (LightMtl is not a good one)... or am I blind?

    Best regards!

Try using nodes. Its also an option to use Layered type, but its texture support is not finished.

      Thanks!
      Works great in these areas.
But I forgot to mention I also need basic Diffuse texture. When I introduce node with image texture, I get the resulting render as solid coloured instead of textured.. (as I wrote "mixers" work correctly at the same time..)
      Any solution?

I need a scene and/or render and/or nodes setup screenshot to understand what are you talking about

          Uhm...
First of all, everything I complained about actually works (can't even reproduce the faulty setup now) so I must have been in a daze to screw things that far..

Second: one new problem with mapping textures appeared:
I can't successfully assign a texture from "Input>Texture" node to use UV Tex Layer other than the default ("main" in the example scene).
          It seems not supported ..

            Hi Andrey,
Do you think it will be possible to fix that latest issue with Multi UV assignments?
Do you have any idea when it could happen?

            Sorry for bugging =)
            Thanks!..
