First - This Vray Blender project is absolutely incredible! The integration is fairly easy to understand and get rendering without much hassle. I have messed around with Blender on and off but with the addition of the Vray engine as well as the improved Blender UI I think I may be moving toward Blender Vray in the near future. Excellent work on this.
I have downloaded office furniture models from steelcase, rebuilt them in Rhino and then imported into the Vray/Blender build. The model that gets imported is rather large. I have rendered both an un-scaled model and a scaled model but the un-scaled version has to use much higher values than the scaled values. Does it matter if a model isn't scaled down or does Vray have an assumed scale in its lighting calcs? My guess is it does.
My original table top in Rhino is 42" when exported and imports into Blender with a value of 42 BU's so I see a connection. I have found that most people assume 1 BU = 1 Meter. When a model is imported what scale do you punch in so that a model is compatible for Vray Blender?
Thanks.
