  • Render problem

    Hello

At the beginning I would like to point out that I do not have much experience with vray, and my "poroblem" could be just simple oversight of a detail.

I am working on blender 2.56.4 reexported, but it happens to me also on 2.6...
When I render my scene time to calculate ligh cahce is extremaly high (597h).
I made some test renders and I figured out that problem occures only when layers 13 and 18 are enabled to render. I mean the geometry on that layers.
I don not know if it is 'couse objects at those layers are close to camera, btw it is kinde of a close up scene.

I attach a .blend with materials set up.

    Re: Render problem

When using a lot of displacement V-Ray could write that LC calculation will take 597h, for example, but will actually calculate it in about 10-15 minutes.

      Re: Render problem

I left vray for night and next day it show me 0.8%lc. However Your advices were good. I changed some of displacement into bump and it solve problem a bit.

      Thank You.

This is strange - what is your vray version? It takes about 15min for your scene.
