  • New user and a question

    Hello,

Andrey, first first of all i have to say you've made some serious impressive work with this integration with Blender!
This is the reason i now have decided to go the Blender/V-ray way.
I'll donate some money when i buy V-ray.
Your realtime preview video looked very interesting, was that in OS X and a Mac Pro by the way?

Personally i'm just waiting for the next Mac Pro to replace my old MP 1.1 at home and the next iMac 27 for work before i buy V-ray.

Does anyone know if this scenario would be possible:
Have the dongle in the computer at work and later from home connect via VPN to the work network and start V-ray on my home computer?
I just thought that as long as i'm on the same network maybe that could work, or does the dongle have to be physically connected to the actual computer that uses it?

    Anyway... cheers everyone!

    Hello,

As for the license inquiry, you can use the license at your home if you can connect the computer which has the dongle license of VRay through internet. VRay license is working with http protocol if I am right. So you just need a fixed physical ip address to use VRay license from your home. I've tried it before and it worked very well.

    Best Regards,
