• Texture color issue

Is this an issue or is its normal behaviour?

In Blender internal, the color of the texture is the same as in the preview, this doesn't occur with Vray/blender.

With bitmap color space set to sRGB:
color_bitmap_srgb.jpg[/attachment:2npx7xqm]
And with Gamma corrected (the same as linear)
color_bitmap_gamma_corrected.jpg[/attachment:2npx7xqm]

I would like to work with the expected color as the original.

EDIT_And the same happens with the sky, it seems that all is overexposed (the sky) and oversaturated (texture colors).

Re: Texture color issue

Blender has some color correction stuff which is used also for external image loading to blender. Go to Blender Render, there will be a Shading panel in render settings, try on/off "Color management" then check preview image again.

Re: Texture color issue

Thanks, Andrey, but it doesn't do what I want, anyway, it's a bit of trial-error, and the results I'm achieving with Vray are quite satisfying for me (and fast!).
Only issue I have is the RT engine, which it doesn't start.

Greetings

Hi bdancer,
In future can you plan something to do the reverse of what blender? is doing to the image (rendering the preview images at another gamma or something).

If I remember someone had a fix on your github for something like this.

Turning off colour correction I believe will damage hex colour codes input/output and other things possibly too (material colour in display/result colour).
