Hair variation?

Hey!

I'm playing around with particle hair. How can I vary the length and shape to look more like grass and not perfectly straight?

Because I can't use children hair that gives me all the parameters to clump, shape, randomize particles.

Other ways to go?

Select advanced, it will open velocity settings there, with random slider for initial
I'm not sure other way to do it for particle hair.
