Smoke sim and v-ray fog

Hello Andrey,
Is there any chance soon that you will enable/implement vray fog link to the blender smoke system? I'm going to be in need to use it in still scene in coming 2 weeks. So I wanted to ask (assumming people are donating little recently), if additional, targeted donation could let you advance this feature?

Volumetric fog textures is a feature I want to try...

Check the new build at github and vray_TexVoxelData repo: https://github.com/bdancer/vray_TexVoxelData
To compile build with smoke exporting support add --exporter_cpp option to the autobuild script.
Example scene: http://vray.cgdo.ru/scenes/smoke.blend (its better to bake smoke before rendering, especially if hires)

So... are the Vray volumetric textures already supported (besides smoke)?

Hugh, not sure, I'll check, but afair only vray procedurals are supported there.

[update]: I've updated the exporter, smth like vray noise should work now.

The smoke commit works amazing (I still use the the 2.00.1 demo). Andrey: you rock.
I'm not fond of smoke sims, but the feature is amazing itself.

I will try the volumetric Vray textures as soon as possible.

Procedural tested.
I wasn't able to make it work for density (image 2), but it worked for emission seamlessly (image 1). Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

Have you tried rendering example scene I posted? If it'll work ok then check the settings there. Also make sure to update exporter.

Yes, exporter updated. It works effortlessly -my bad.
I'll play with the smoke sim later.

If I understand this, you coded the dll so Vray could read blender smoke data, right? Amazing.

Smth like this =) I wrote an exporting of blender voxel data and then a vray texture plugin that could work with this this data.

I was able to render procedural fog in the test blend (procedural).
In a new file, however, I got the error of the pic:

Update the exporter should work now =)
