  • V-Ray on mac, black rendering

Hello, I did many try and test.
So on each system, I can't see the button export meshes anywhere.
I did a try on Lion Mountain and Snow Leopard either.

I guess the tutorial and wiki are kinda bit confusing.

I would to know what is the best system to use ?

So please give us some more information.

    Version of Blender.
Version of the maya Vray ?
    http://www.chaosgroup.com/en/2/download ... v-ray-maya
Most of SnowLopard or Leopard are messed , when you dowload you have some .EXE for pc ?
And finally I need to know what is version of mac os X to use.

    Thanks ! :à

Re: V-Ray on mac, black rendering

    Hi,

I have been struggling trying to understand which V-Ray versions that works in OS X.
I gave up and settled with the one i got working and didn't investigate it any further.

Take a look at Sebastian König's video tutorial on how to install the demo and full version.
There you'll see how to install the .exe

After i realized how difficult it was to install the full version and get it working i tried to write a tutorial to maybe help others.
I've listed which version i used and which Mac's/OS X versions i tried.

I think Andrei and Chaos group are working on making this easier in the future.
As far as i know the 64 bit V-Ray doesn't show any frame buffer while rendering and i hope that will be fixed to soon so we can take full advantage of the new upcoming Mac Pro.

    Good luck
