Hello, today i was using a dirt map in the diffuse channel, but when i put texture in the unnocluded channel it doesn't repect the UVS like a normal bitmap, and i don't see an option too choose the UV layer.

    any ideas?

    thanks!

      Hi
I had the same Issue trying to get some occlusion on a character's eyes, was this resolved?
I can setup a scene if you got no response, bdancer

this is the issue i've been having

first the texture "eyes" is mapped with UV's and renders good

on the second part I rendered a vray dirt with no textures, and dirt shows good too

but the problem is when i add the texture "eyes" to the slot of the unoccluded color
now it's like if the uv's did not exist at all, making every face to render the full texture (making it look all red)
or at least thats what it seems like.

Im using blender v2.69.7 wich honestly I dont remember when I updated last

            heres the scene:

Yeap it's becasue in that version, you were not available to make complex materials, for example, if you add a texture in the vray dirt or mixing to BRDF and texture didn't respect UVS like it's happening in your example, All that kind of stuff has been already fixed in node version 3.0.
Why don't you update latest build and give it try? It will solve you tons of problems.

it's great to know that it's fixed, to be honest, I did try it,
but my speed of work gets reduced by a LOOOT, I mean learning a whole new workflow takes time, it IS the smart move but it's SLOW, and I have very little time to afford.

Also, not sure if another bug, but the Lights on version 3.0 dont deliver the same intensity as in the earlier versions, and I have to redo the lighting settings.

to end this topic, I guess I will give version 3.0 a second try, thanks Nachex!

Yeap, take it easy you'll get used more faster than you imagine. New methodology it's quite easy, no alien technology or so. Enviroment GI it's a bit different than the version you were using. Let me know if you need help with something else. cheers.
