When I click on Update Exporter I get an error that says "Git is not found!".

I am following the setup instructions here (http://help.chaosgroup.com/vray/help...uick_start.htm)

In the Updating V-Ray for Blender section it talks about how to update the Exporter. I tried launching it normally and running it as an administrator.


When I click on Update Exporter I get an error that says "Git is not found!". How do I fix that?

Thank you for that information. I installed Git with the default options. When I pressed Update Exporter the first time, it took a while but then it said that it updated successfully. I pressed Update Exporter again to see if it would just re-update or tell me I had the latest. Instead I got an error "V-Ray For Blender: Git update warning! Check system console!"



What does all that mean and how do I address the error?

Sure you've run it "As Administrator" the first time? Remove the installation directory and re-install Blender.
I'll check what could go wrong locally...

As far as I know you have to relaunch blender after update.

I am sure that I ran it "As Administrator" the first time and it was successful. Do I have to run "As Administrator" every time that I want to update the exporter? When you speak of removing the installation directory are you speaking of Git or Blender?
