Hi,
I'm a little confused as to the workings of Vray 3 for Blender, it seems to behave a little different to stock blender on two things I've noticed.
Single User Copy
When I create a material in stock blender, I can duplicate that material by pressing the “click to make single user copy” option. Then I can then independently edit that material, it won't effect the original.
This is very handy if you've created a material that you want to modify for another object.
In Vray there is an additional “Shading Tree: Material Node” option within the material properties that is available. Even if I duplicate the material as before, the 'Shading Tree Material Node' does not alter.
I end up with a copy of the original, but if I change it, it will change the original too.
Textures and Shading Tree: Material Nodes
They are not being removed if you re-use a saved scene. There may be times when I re-use a scene for one reason or another. But even it the objects in the scene have been deleted and I haven't used the option “Save this datablock even if it has no users” the textures are still listed in the UV Editor and the Shading Tree: Material Nodes are still available.
Shouldn't they be removed if they're not used?
Am I doing something wrong here guys?
Cheers, Jay.
