  • IES power slider doesn't work

I'm trying to use the spot lamp as IES lamp.
All seems fine but the "power" slider seems that it doesn't work.

    Could you check?

It works, it just has different units (check the tooltip), try the value like 10000.

      bdancer,
could you check the scene with the two IES profile I'm using?

      bisio.zip

I've tried several power values but without luck.

It uses always the same power. I haven't got any variation...

It because of a texture, when texture is used then it's used as intensity override, i'll check how to workaround this.
You could use just the color picker, I've patched it to support Kelvin temperature (K-button):

ok, actually your solution is the right workflow. The temperature node I've added was there becasue I didn't noticed the color picker.

now, inspired by your solution and the layout of the interface , I'm asking you if it's possible to read from the IES file both power and temperature color and use the "power slider" and "color picker" only to make the override.

          what do you think?

          meanwhile, thanks for the solution

Power is read if you set power=0.0, about color not sure, I'll check the file format.

UPDATE: Seems like IES file doesn't contain color info http://knowledge.autodesk.com/suppor...2D501-htm.html

              ah ok...you're right sorry.

Probably IESViewer use some extra infos that doesn't fit the IES file standard
Here a screenshot I took for example
