  • Multiplier on material doesn't work like 3ds max or is that just work that way?

hi, andrey, i need some clarifying about how multiplier works on vrayblender, i think it doesn't work like how 3ds max treat it. i tested it with reflection map multiplier on this case. on first screenshot, i make the reflect color on value 0.8 and the multiplier on 100% for a dirt map. the result is quite dirty for a clear plastic. i just want it subtle. so i change the multiplier to 20%. but the result showed that the reflection also lose it strenght not just the map as i hope. you could see that on second screnshot. is it a bug or is it how vray blender works?

    thank you andrey

is it how vray blender works?
Yep, this is how it works here. It multiply the value of the texture map, so in places where you have white color it'll be 1.0 * 0.2 - that's why you have less reflections.
