  • Git is not found! error when trying to use Update Exporter

I have the latest version of Git installed with the default install options. When I open Blender 2.77 (With V-Ray Additions) and select V-Ray with Material Preview and go to the Render Panel>System>Exporter>Update Exporter I get an error that "Git is not found!"

How do I get rid of the error and get the Update Exporter to work?

What Git have you installed? What OS are you on?

On Windows exporter expects git here "C:/Program Files (x86)/Git/bin/git.exe" or in environment PATH variable.
If your installation path differs just add path to git to PATH.

When you choose x32 bit version, it will automatic in Program Files (x86) installed. This help me.

It seems kind of silly to have to uninstall the 64bit version and install the 32bit version just so V-Ray for Blender will recognize it. I would love to know how to add Git as an environment path variable. That seems like the proper solution.
