  • Build March 18th give strange black noise on render result

    hi andrey, i just testing March 18th build yesterday, and strange black noise showed up. i am using old scenes and same setting that i created recently by using February build. here is the comparisons. i am using Vray 3.25.

    i see that some new setting (adaptive method and local subdivs) is added. but after i changing some setting (default to legacy, untick local subdivs), the black noise is somehow getting more darker. what is the cause of this, andrey?
    and by the way, i love new addition on nodes in recent build.

    Well the issue is definitely somewhere in new default settings; could you send me this scene?

      i'm afraid i can't. this scene is heavily using 3rd party models and hdri. i'll create a copy version of it, a stripped down version and send it to you.

        now i can't reproduce same lighting using vraysky. is it alright if i send hdr file also?

          I'm not sure here; could you try reproducing this with some free hdri that I could download later?

              hello andrei. i think i found the problem. it seems that interpolation mode on irradiance map, "least squares fit" and "delone triangulation" is currently exchanged each other in build 2.77
