  • Strange Vray 3.3 crash when using alpha mapping, bump + reflection

I'm getting strange crashes during rendering with Vray Standalone 3.30.04 when using the following node setup:

It crashes during building of the light cache, the problem seems to be the combination of the alpha mapping, the bump node and enabling reflection. The weird thing is, it seems to crash only on a specific mesh - on others the same material works. It also renders fine when disabling reflection.
I'm using the latest Blender/Vray build from the nightlies on a windows 7 machine.

I have attached a simplified scene with the problematic mesh and some packed textures. Any hope on solving this one? I'm stumped.

...ok, sadly there is no way to delete this thread or edit the post - I've found the problem and it is a bit embarassing.
But apparently in the new Vray/Blender versions the Bump Node changed - replacing the old ones with new one solves the problem.

I think this is partly due to the lack of easily accessible documentation on changes - is there any way to get noticed of such changes? The problem above really frustrated me for quite a bit the last few nights.
