  • TR GPU CUDA - fog gizmo not rendering

(edit: oops, I meant "RT" GPU)

Fog doesn't seem to be working in GPU.

There's also something odd going on with the lighting. There is no shadow cast by the lamp post. Also, the World background does not show in the render even when the fog gizmo is disabled.

We don't support the environment fog in the GPU right now; it's on the "to do" list though.

OK, thanks. Is there a published list of missing GPU features that I can look at before I post any other GPU related questions?

        See here:
        https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...orted+Features

The list is for V-Ray 3.4, so a bit outdated, but once we release 3.5 we will update it.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

AFAIK, CUDA is the only fully stable GPU option. I have a GTX 1070 card and it works great (other than the GPU limitations as discussed.)

So you just activate it here and it works? http://screencloud.net/v/145e
I do also have CUDA cards 980Ti and Titan.
              What build are you using?

After you activate it, you also have to choose the type of GPU in the dropdown below.

I've got the latest nightly builds installed, but I've been using the RT GPU engine without problems since I bought my card back in early September. Have you updated your card driver lately? That may help with stability as well.

Thanks Andy, I figured put what was problem, it was grabbing older Vray build I had installed. Now works fine.
But with Build from 20th and 21st I have strange issue, if I hit Z Blender instantly crash. And that is only if Vray is set as renderer.
