Maybe also update the licence server, and/or dongle driver, if you haven't done that for a while?

Tried to install many versions of license server but no luck because of install error. New Wibu driver; I will try that also, thank you.

This seems to be related to the permissions on the TEMP folder, where the installer is writing during the (un)installation.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

        1. Go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced system settings -> Environment variables
        2. Check the User variables TEMP and TMP - by default they should point to the same directory: C:\Users\{YOUR_USERNAME}\AppData\Local\Temp
        3. Find that folder, right-click on it -> Properties -> Security

Then check the permissions for your user and the Administrators group. I tested on my computer, by denying the write permissions for both and the same error, as on your screenshot, showed when I ran the installer.

What do you see when you go to http://localhost:30304 ? Do you see your licenses there?

If nothing loads on that address, there seems to be a problem with the License Server. You can try to uninstall it and, if you see the same error ("unable to copy temporary log file..."), there is an option to ignore it (at the bottom left). Check if you are able to uninstall that way and then do a clean installation.

If the problem persists afterwards, I suggest to open a support ticket, by sending an email to support@chaosgroup.com

I see: This site can't be reached. I also login chaosgroup and saw 0 servers and 0 licenses. And when manually starting vlrlservice.exe then start error: Application requires Runtime Modules with version 5.10 or higher. Yeah I mail to support what to do.

I had that happen and had to re-login recently. Did you try clearing your browser cache and logging in again?

                  - EDIT - Ha, well, my NoScript still won't allow it, but copy/paste is fine -

It's because the question mark carries over to the hyperlink?

http://localhost:30304/? should be entered as http://localhost:30304/#/

I uninstalled Vray standalone, license server and wibu-key, then installed latest versions of all. Now when starting render cgauth.dll is missing. Now I can see localhost license server render node. But I mailed Chaosgroup support what to do.

Can you please download and re-install the latest release of V-Ray Standalone - https://download.chaosgroup.com/v-ray/standalone

Afterwards please start Blender and make sure that you have enabled the V-Ray plugin from the "File" -> "User Preferences" -> "Add-ons" menu and that the V-Ray Standalone version is detected You can remove the tick from the "Detect V-Ray" box and check if the path is pointing to the correct installation folder - by default it should ne in C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\Standalone for x64\bin\x64\vc11\vray.exe

If you are still experiencing the issue afterwards please open a command prompt (cmd) and run Blender from it then try to render with V-Ray. Afterwards please copy the contents of the command line and send them to us in order to troubleshoot the issue further.

Installed latest Vray Standalone, unchecked detect Vray and manually selected vray.exe. Starting Blender from command line, still same cgauth.dll error.
