  • Using Reflection maps (SOLVED)

Hi, I would like to use a b/w map to control the reflection of an object. (Im using a reflection override texture)

Here is the object without any texture map:
    Reflection 0.9
    Gloss:1

    big

Here is the map i want to apply to the reflection:

    big

Here is the map applied with the object color and no reflection (texture to spec map):

    big

And finally, the texture applied to the reflection (texture to spec)

    big

1.- I spected that the dark parts of the texture I would see the reflections, and in the withe parts i would see the material color (black); and I get these strange artifacts there.

2.- When I apply the map, I spected to see the reflected parts the same as the first image, but instead i see the reflection maps and no the reflection on the floor.

Hope someone can help me on this, and that it could help more users too.

    here is the file

    Thanks!

    Re: Using Reflection maps

i believe you have to set it to affect the Raymir channel instead of Spec. though last time i had some problems with the map being difficult to control.... but try Raymir instead of Spec.
