  • Panorama render for Samsung Gear VR

    I am trying to render a 6x1 camera in Blender 2.77/Vray 3.3, using the Stereo render functionality so I can view it in Samsung Gear VR. See image for desired result.

    On you tube I found a tutorial exactly explaining that for 3ds max, so I copied the settings. (enabling Stereo, setting camera to 6x1, setting resolution). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elqX...ature=youtu.be

    The missing setting is Image Aspect which should be 6 (since there are 6 squares to render), but it's missing in Blender/Vray 2.77. So what I get are two stretched squares..

    Has someone succesfully made a render for Samsung VR, or is the Stereo functionality not working yet?

    I got it to work! The setup above is correct, but with two remarks;

    - don't use physical camera (as said in the tutorial), somehow it stops the 6x1 camera functionality
    - don't enable adjust resolution in the stereoscopic panel, but manually multiply the resolution width by 2 (18432x1536 in the example, so that's 12 square boxes of 1536x1536)
