  • Not any more VRay Standalone nightlies since June 7th

The latest nightly of VRay Standalone is from June 7th. Is it because of a temporary stop (vacation)?

We are working on some changes to the V-Ray SDK and it might be somewhat unstable during that time. Once we are finished with the changes and we are sure that things work correctly, we will re-enable the nightly builds.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

It seems a good news... hoping these changes will bring us, easier and quicker for you to implement, the rendered viewport...

        Finger crossed!

It is good to know that stability is sought.
          Thanks Vlado.

I can't also see any ubuntu build too! Only centos...

Does any one made a recent ubuntu 16.04 build?

P.S.:Well I installed the latest centos build and with a few workarounds it works! But It would be nice to know why ubuntu builds were dropped...

arquitecto you are talking about Blender For V-Ray? If yes centos build should run on other major linux distributions. Also what workarounds did you have to do to make it run?

poseidon4o Yes Blender for Vray. I remembered I had to make a link to the executable and find it. And the build works perfectly.

I think you don't have to do that anymore. V-Ray will be automatically detected. Or you can enter a file path in the User Preferences when you enable the V-Ray add-on.

Maybe it depends on the OS ?
