  • Node materials features

As Vray/Blender material nodes is in development, there are some cool material nodes in Cycles that could be implemented:

Random value from "Object Info" node. You can use this feature to have per object variation (color, uv mapping position, ..) using a single material.
    Usage example: http://cgcookie.com/blender/2013/10/...ng-leaf-color/

We already have some constrast settings inside "Common" texture tab.
A node for fine tunning of Hue/Saturation of textures would be useful too.

Well, the first one will be pretty tricky to make, but I'll think of it, and the secod one is very easy =)

This is a nice post in Peter Guthrie blog, about using color correction curves for changing the mood of an hdr sky directly from vray.
I don't know if this is possible in VB, but would be nice to have some correction curves for bitmaps and hdr images.

Curves will be available as soon as they will be available somewhere in Python API. Currently there are no custom curves as well as ramps and other widgets...

I'v tryed rebuild this node setup to achieve random colored particle with blender 2.74 but didn't work for me.
The "User Attributes" solution is fine for more object but not for particles.
Can I reach random colored particle with vray blender?

"Random By Render ID" of Sampler will work with V-Ray 3.x only, but for particles you will also have to disable "Use Instancer For Dupli / Particles" in "Advanced" panel of object properties.

Ah, thanks for this. I was coming back here to request this, as I was noticing the particles didn't get the random color. Works a treat!
