  • V-Ray 5 for C4D - Region Render

Coming to V-Ray 5 for C4D from V-Ray Next for Modo. Am I missing something or are there none of the Region Render options that are available in Next for Modo?

I do not see any option to render a region in V-Ray 5 for C4D. If it helps, there is a render region built into native cinema 4d. Open your render settings and you will find it under the Output section.

the vfb2 has a region tool (interactive inside the frame buffer)

optinally vra 5 also supports the native c4d region render(in c4d output settings/region render)

Yeah it doesnt seem there are the options that came with Next for Modo's render region, where you could refine a region, save regions as presets etc. Very much a step backwards it would seem.

These options were always V-Ray for Modo specific.
They have never been part of the core V-Ray VFB.
V-Ray for 3ds Max has a similar feature called "Real Zoom", but it doesn't have the ability to save the region that is "zoomed in".
