  • Trouble with Displacement Maps

    Hello,

I am a long time Vray for Rhino user, but have recently been getting into C4D for time based animations. I am wanting to work with displacements maps in VRAY 5 but am having trouble finding where to access them in the material editor? I am trying to apply a displacement map to a single plane to create a 3D topography effect. I could really use some help, thank you!

Hi, you need to add a Vray geometry tag, from there you can select the displacement map, manage the settings, and choose the material for the projection.

        Hey ntoldi ,
if you need help with anything please feel free to look in our Documentation for more information. You can also Right mouse click on any V-Ray parameter and choose "Show Help" which will also forward you to the documentation page of that parameter. I've shared this hint on the following thread as well.
