  • Get noisy image when using Vray light texture

I'm using a Vray Dome Light in a scene and I've added a HDRI image to the Texture tab of the Light (Dome Tex). The result is a very noisy image, as you can see. This is happening with C4D R23 and V-Ray 5. I've never experienced this with earlier versions of V-Ray. Any idea why?

    Hello it_refplus ,

Could you please share a test scene where the issue is reproducible with all assets for it so we can have a look? Also, please share more details about your setup (exact Cinema4D and V-Ray versions, OS, are you using V-Ray CPU or V-Ray GPU). If using V-Ray GPU, please let us know what is your GPU and GPU driver.

It would also be helpful if you can share which earlier versions of V-Ray didn't produce the issue.

I finally solved the problem. It seems that by adding an image to the light texture, it darkened the image and I had to increase the light intensity, which created all that noise. I simply adjusted the camera sensitivity instead, and it worked very well. Thanks.
