  • Opacity | Max Transparency Levels on Material/Object-Base

    Hi,

I have a very urgent question. I have a very special material where I need a lot, and I mean, A LOT of transparencylevels.
I dont find any option in the material itself.

In the V-Ray Overrides-Tab theres an option at Materials to override Max Transparency levels on an global base, but thats not what I want.
I want to adjust the Transparencylevels of that specific material. Is this possible?
Iam using the Opacity Channel in the material, not the refractionpanel.

    Cheers,
    PdZ

    Hello PdZ,

I apologize for the delayed reply.

Currently, you can only change the Max Transparency levels on a global basis through the Overrides tab in the render settings. We will discuss if such an option can be implemented in the future. Thank you for your feedback.

      Thank you very much aleksandar.kasabov

I asked that because iam using it for a special case where I combine a lot of stacked Geometry alphablended with help of distance shader. Which is used in the opacity tab.
Since I cant control that on object/Materialbasis I have to override everything (which costs a lot of rendertime) on global basis.

      This would help a lot!

      thx in advance!
