Hair strand opacity ramp

In 3dsmax we have the hairinfotex map which allows us to map a gradient along each hair strand. I'm not finding this option in vray for c4d.

I'm using c4d's native hair, and a vray hair material. How do we do this without the hairinfotex map?

VRayHairInfoTex has not yet been implemented in V-Ray 5 for Cinema4D. It is however on our to-do list and will be implemented in a future update of the plugin. You can keep an eye on the Announcements section of the forum for any updates. Thanks.
