  • GPU rendering help

Hi all, I am new to this field with GPU`s, I have the feeling my graphics card does not need the full power to render as evident in the picture I think times. Because in utilization it says 2-max 6%. Because with CPU it jumps directly to 100%. Can you set this somewhere? And where? would be very nice if you can send me some screenshot where I can adjust it. Thanks a lot

It has been taken care of. In Windows Task Manager it does not show me correctly if the graphics card is running. But via Nvidia I see that it is at 100%. Thanks for the help anyway.

        Hello alex_obrist,

Please note that with the task manager there are many parameters that can be monitored and it won't show you the correct GPU utilization. You can use a third-party tool, such as GPU-Z to monitor the GPU load. I hope this is of help.

          Hey alex_obrist ,
Depending on the Graphics card and driver you should a "Compute" or "CUDA" mode available for you to select and monitor your GPU usage while rendering instead of the currently selected ones "3D, Copy, Video Encode or Video Decode".

Here is a quick screenshot and how it looks:
