  • VFB: Batch image processing in VFB2 for vrimg files

    Hello.

First of all, a big thank you for this release. The development so far is really amazing.

Is it possible to export the images directly into another format with batch processing? At the moment the images are only saved as new VRIMGs. I don't see the point of that. What is the purpose of this feature?

    Hello Doger,

I apologize for the delayed reply.

Currently, the bach image processing only outputs .vrimg files. I have added a feature request (ID: VC4D-1205) to add an option for other file formats as well. I will let you know once we have more information on the matter.

Until this is implemented you can use the vrimg2exr tool that comes with the V-Ray for Cinema4D installation to convert the images to .exr files. You can find more information about the tool and how to use it here.

      Hi Aleksandar,

Thank you for the input. Unfortunately I can't manage to output the lens effect layer into the EXR. Besides, it would be an additional step that takes a long time.

Do you have any feedback on a batch output that will also output JPGs or PNGs?

        Hello Doger,

I am afraid that we don't have any updates on this yet. I will keep an eye on the request and I will let you know as soon as we have any updates on the matter. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
