    Hi,

might be a noob question, but i havent found anything about animation settings anywhere in the c4d forum. Is it correct that we are only able to render frame by frame? No flythrough, animation pre- and final options? Do we need different rendersettings for moving cam, moving cam + light changes or moving cam + moving objects + light changes?
Are there any tutorials or can people please share same experiences regarding quality vs rendertime? Which calc method for what kind of animation?
3dsmax vray 5 animation setting seem to be different including presets, makes no sense for c4d.

    Thanks in advance!

For animations you can use the same settings that you use for still, GI BR+LC, just rise the LC subdivisions to 3000 and the retrace threshold to 8 to be on the safe side, no pre-pass needed.
The AA settings depends on your scene, most time you can leave the progressive sampler do the job and only tune the noise threshold until you are satisfied, you can also use the bucket sampler but be careful with the settings since if you don't know what you are doing you can easily screw things up.
To remove noise use the standalone denoiser, it will save you tons of render time.
To get the motion blur you need to activate the effect from the physical camera.
