Has anyone else noticed that Vray for C4D's bump seems to be inversed? I'm used to white being high and black being low, but it seems like it's reversed.

The first Vray5 version was black=high and white=low, a few months ago this standard was inverted. If you have one of the latest build it should be white=high and black=low, if in your scene do not work like that maybe you have inverted the white/black point inside the bitmap or the bump amount, or maybe there's an error on the build for your OS/C4D.
Using the May 4 build it should be like this:
