  • Colorizer shader (or also known as ramp, or high and low clipping)

    Hi !

I think the Colorizer shader doesn't work with V-Ray materials.
When adding noise shaders I used to use the c4d colorizer shader to clip the black and white values, or to invert the color values. The goal being to increase the contrast and to control the "hardness".

How can I achieve this with V-Ray materials and V-Ray node materials?

The colorizer works more like the ramp node in redshift: I think maybe the vray remap node will do something similar but i'm not sure about that. I have to add thatiIn the latest update the colorizer works as it should.
For controlling the "contrast" and black and white points of the noise the filter shader might be better, ss Sirio suggests.

I just want to add that the gradation curves don't work as expected. Meaning that vray only "translates" the points on the curve but not the "curvature"/ tangents of the point. This is also an issue with the falloff shader.
