HVAC system modelling and visualization

Hi,

I have to model and render an HVAC System (image attached). And sorry, might be a bit off-topic VRay

1. Does anyone have experience with the Air Duct Generator for C4D? Will it work in R26?
2. I am looking especially for a Spiral Duct Texture - can someone share one? Or I am willing to pay for it - or not sure if a script exists to create a spiral duct from a spline.
3. Or would it be easier to use a pipe and then apply a spiral bump through a C4D VRay shader?

Don’t know about the air duct generator, seems assets based so you may probably reuse the mesh components. I would simply model the thing, it can be done procedurally using several helix and deformer and loft tool. Since the components are modular you can build the straight tube, the bend etc and then assemble all of them using render instances. Hi,
thank you - that is great and helpful. Well, the problem is that it is an HVAC System for a conference hall, different systems etc. just was looking for a way to speed up modelling
But the render tutorial is excellent.
