I'm looking for ways to make my scenes more realistic. I'd specially like to add imperfections to materials. One way to do this would be to make material look old and dusty. Any trick would be appreciated. I've attached the kind of scene I'm creating. Thanks.

Everything you will need regarding V-Ray for Cinema 4D features you can find in our Documentation: https://docs.chaos.com/display/VC4D/...Cinema+4D+Home
In addition to that we have a YouTube channel where you can find a lot of video tutorials on different topics: https://www.youtube.com/@ChaosOffici...=dd&shelf_id=7
On top of everything we have created, there is the Cinema 4D Forum in which you could find a great number of discussions: https://forums.chaos.com/forum/v-ray-for-cinema-4d
Furthermore, we are writing articles on a daily basis and uploading them on our Chaos Help Center which you can find here: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us
Finally, feel free to always ask us anything regarding V-Ray here, in the Forum, or by Submitting a request to our System: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Hello it_refplus
With V-Ray there are endless ways to add details to the scene. For example, you could expose the walls to some imperfections with V-Ray Decal. I would suggest introducing more variety (colors and sizes) of boxes and crates. Finally, make sure to use a good amount of V-Ray Textures to everything to build the details in the render.
Additionally, you could play with the Lighting. By giving it a yellow tint the room would not look so clean. You could also use the new Decay feature to make it more interesting.
Overall, what path is chosen is entirely up to the artist. If you have any other specific questions, please, do let us know.

Hiya,
A good start would be to download some imperfection textures and add them to the glossiness/roughness channel. Here's some free ones to get you started:

You can then use Vray shaders like Triplanar to add dust on the Y axis or Vray curvature as a mask for edge wear. Experiment and have fun!
