How do I compose the render elements in photoshop to recreate the beauty pass when saving as PNG?

    Hello kimmo_hernborg

I am attaching a Document for you to go through. It will not only show you how to compose the Render Elements in Photoshop but it will guide you through the editing process as well.

Additionally, be aware that the recommended workflow would be using .exr as it contains more information and will give you more accurate final image.
You can download a Exr-OI that is a free format reader for Photoshop. Link: https://www.exr-io.com/

Please, let me know if you have any additional questions I can help with

      Hi Viktor

      Thanks for your help.

Thats the method I´ve tried when using PNG, but the result isnt correct. I have used vray output system, png, 16 bit. "Apply VFB compositing and color correction" is turned off.

          Hi all,

I'm intruding on this message to say that I have the same problem with Sketchup and Photoshop "compositing" with the Linear Dodge (Add) method.

This is a simple scene with only an HDRI for lighting.

              Hi Natalia,
              here's the file.
For your information, it's a Sketchup file. This is a C4D topic. I don't want to disturb this discussion.

Thank you DCHA34 for the scene.

You have Exposure enabled in VFB that is also written to RGB - hence the difference in composite. You need to either delete Exposure in the VFB > resave your image > compose in PS or add exposure adjustments in PS as well.
