  • Newbie animation question!

Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of a guide to render settings for a simple camera movement animation.

I've not produced any animation for a long time. In the past I have rendered a multi-frame incremental file to add the GI for each frame but this doesn't seem to be an option.

I'm just hoping there is a step by step guide to best practice set-up for cinema 4d & V-Ray, for flicker free and best speed. Google search not bought anything up.

    Hello jon_leeke

    Thank you posting!

The best practice is to find the Render Settings that are optimal for your scene. This is due to the fact that every animation is different, no there cannot be a set group of settings that will work perfectly every time.
You can find the most suitable Render Settings for you by testing your scene and optimizing one value at a time.

You can learn more about the Render Settings in V-Ray for Cinema 4D here: https://docs.chaos.com/display/VC4D/Render+Settings
To clean some noise off your render you can use the Denoiser. Feel free to check it out: https://docs.chaos.com/display/VC4D/...ading-Denoiser
If you want to identify what parts of your scene are taking the most of your Render Time, you can check out the Profiler: https://docs.chaos.com/display/VC4D/Profiler

      Thanks viktor_angelov,
It not so much specific render settings, I have these resolved for the scene.
Its more a case of the process to produce the series of frames needed. Is it just a case of rendering out the individual frames, one by one? Is there no specific measures needed?

No specific measures can be said as every animation is different. I would recommend you to render couple of different frames, not the entire animation, just so you can optimize your settings. This process should be done every time you render different animations.
