How can I save Shadow catcher on a separate file?

I've assigned a shadow catcher to a plane. How can I save only the shadow to a separate file? I tried Render Elements but it's the entire plane that gets rendered, instead of the shadow. I'm not familiar with Render Elements so I'm obviously doing something wrong.

Hi it_refplus, I believe you need the Matte Shadow render element, which should save only shadows from shadow catchers.

One more option from me is to use Light Select RE and from the drop-down menu, select Diffuse Specular Mate options .
